Pastor Dave has been released from the Palms of Pasadena Hospital in St. Petersburg, Florida. He very much appreciates your prayers for his full recovery from abdominal surgery as he continues to recover and regain his strength. He will be returning to New Knoxville in early February and will return to the pulpit on February 19th. Worship on Sunday, February 19 at 10:15 a.m. ONLY! There will be no 8 a.m. service this day. Pastor Dave returns to the pulpit with a message from Psalm 22 entitled Finding God In the Darkness Ordination of Deacons & Elders & Installation of the Full Consistory There will be a Congregational Carry-In Lunch in the Ministry Center. [Pastor Dave will provide the meat.] You are asked to bring salads, veggies, casseroles and desserts. Ash Wednesday, February 22 – Holy Communion at 7:30 p.m. Music by the Chancel Choir Meditation: Ashes, Ashes – We All Fall Down The Youth Director Search Committee [Janna Hirschfeld, Larry Kellermeyer, Abby Bambauer, Brad Hoge, Michelle Dillon, and Sandy Bambauer] is pleased to announce the selection of Blaze Wood to serve as the Director of Youth Ministries. Blaze is a 2010 Graduate of Toccoa Falls College, Georgia with a major in Youth Ministries and a minor of Christian Counseling. He is a native of Strausburg, Ohio. He is engaged to Krystle Stephens whom he met while at Toccoa. They will be married this coming June. Krystle is majoring in Elementary Education If you haven't had the opportunity to meet Blaze yet feel free to stop by the office and say Hi! Youth Events ! Guys & Girls Senior High Bible study will start on Wednesday night February 1^st in the Youth Room and will be from 7:00-8:00p.m. We will be kicking off with a series called Gospel Journey Maui. I look forward to seeing you there. Junior High Youth Group will be the 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the youth room. The first junior high youth group night will be Feb 12^th. Senior High Youth Group will continue every Sunday night from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m.

As I write this note on Monday evening I am on day 15 of a 28 day hospital stay that was completely unexpected at this time. Your care and concern have buoyed my spirit and faith.
