First UCC Christian Women’s Outreach Ministry

What is the CWO ?  The Christian Women’s Outreach is a ministry of the First United Church of Christ New Knoxville.  It consists of the women of the church.  You do not need to join the CWO—if you’re a woman and a member of the church, you’re already part of the CWO !

· Glorify God

· Proclaim Christ Jesus as Lord

· Love and serve the women of our church and the larger community.

· Encourage and equip the women in the body of  Christ to use their spiritual gifts and talents in service to Christ.

 

When does the CWO meet?  The group meets quarterly for working meetings.  The CWO plans various events throughout the year such as the annual Mother / Child / Friend Night and other outreach events.

 

 

Mother / Daughter / Friend Night was held

on Monday evening April 28th.

 

The event was a huge hit with over 100 people in attendance.  If you didn’t have the opportunity to attend there are photos below.

 

Our guest for the evening was WBCL Radio Personality Char Binkley who shared a wonderfully entertaining message entitled “Blowing Bubbles and Swatting Mosquitoes”.
